Every plant in the garden fought for space. Notice the cantalope in the left corner hanging over the bricks. It grew right through the tomatoes. We had many large peppers that thought they were tomatoes. The cucumbers ran over the wall and spread out on the patio.

When planning the garden, Elder Millet really wanted to plow up the grass and have a "real garden."
