It takes 34,000 pounds of milk to make 3200 pounds of cheese. The milk is put into a huge tank and enzymes are added. The curds are churned in huge vats then put into cheesecloth lined 40 pound tins. The whey is pressed out and the cheese is aged for 1month. The whey is powdered and put into the cattle feed so nothing is wasted.
