We attended the Spring Concert presented by The Bells On Temple Square. What a great program. The finale was "The Battle Hymn" with 2 pianos, 2 organists, a trumpet, bass, percussion, and 30 bell ringers. I have never heard such a grand performance. And, yes we got our special seats in the balcony.

Today Ivern and Janice Pyne stopped to visit on their way to a wedding in the temple. He and Ed were Grade and Junior High School friends in Orem, Utah many years ago. Both he and Ed played the violin in the orchestra. It was fun to see them.

I thank the Lord every day for eyes to see the beauties of nature. One of my favorite flowers is the yellow poppy. The yellow tulips are very unusual with the pointed petals.

The gardens are so beautiful and well tended. Volunteers make sure the flowers are removed as soon as they die.
