Yes, this is the Secretary to the Mission President. My office is just a cubbie but I am getting a handle on the things that need to be done. We have a wonderful Mission President and it is a joy to work with he and his wife.

Due to some technical problems with Music and the Spoken Word, Lloyd Newell did a repeat of part of the program which gave Elder Millet a chance to meet his cousin. Lloyd's grandmother and Elder Millet's grandfather were brother and sister making them second cousins.

When Marla and Tom Jones are in town we always meet at Music and the Spoken Word - same time, same place. We were delighted to also see Mary Safsten who is here on a Family History Mission.

We are having a great time in our new callings. Working in the office is a wonderful experience. We had Outbound Calls on Friday. Sixteen sisters will go on temporary assignment for the next 2 transfers to another mission in the US. The Outbound Calls are kept secret and it is a fun and exciting time for the sisters.


Our trainers, Elder and Sister Piippo will spend their last 2 transfers UP on the square (out of the basement). I wrote a cute Upbound Call for them which was signed by President Holmes. They were really surprised with candy leis and the whole works.

We live in crane city. It is amazing how much construction is going on along South Temple. The buildings are so high the temple is almost insignificant in size.

We are having typical unpredictable Spring weather - sunny, rain, snow, etc. This little robin is quite confused. He stood very still for a long, long time trying to decide what to do.
